ISTJs are easily frustrated by the inconsistencies of others, especially
when the second parties don't keep their commitments. But they usually
keep their feelings to themselves unless they are asked. And when asked,
they don't mince words. Truth wins out over tact.
The entire section is mostly spot on, and the large majority of it I already knew, just maybe not put this way. Some of these characteristics that embody me have been criticized by other people. Most of that is because at times I lack tact and show my frustration when I shouldn't.
As do other Introverted Thinkers, ISTJs often give the initial
impression of being aloof and perhaps somewhat cold. Effusive expression
of emotional warmth is not something that ISTJs do without considerable
energy loss.
I think that this does describe me, but not quite to the extent that they put it. I do happen to enjoy emotions, it just takes more than the average situation to get me excited. And as far as being aloof or cold, that really depends on how I feel at that moment and who I am around. It is largely situational.
The description also mentions places or jobs where ISTJs fit in, and one of those mentioned is the military. That is quite fitting considering that that is what I will be going into.

Erin Marie Swain -- on the surface a gifted athlete filled with an intense drive and desire to succeed. The work ethic that she brings to sports extends into almost every aspect of her life-- from academics to life-guarding. It is a core component of her personality. However, there are levels of complexity and depth that continue to blossom giving us some wonderful "Wow" moments. From her shift as a quiet leader to one that is engaged and involved, through her love for the Lord, the development of a real heart for ministry-- focusing on trips designed to serve and in particular working with small children. Also, the display of wisdom that causes one to pause and appreciate the insight. Add to all of this a level of love and thoughtfulness as a daughter . . . and yes a sister. She is never hesitant to give a hug or a snuggle. Erin is a beautiful person inside and out.
This is from my dad.
